Treatment Programs
Medical Detox
Medical detox at Milwaukee Rehab typically lasts 3 to 7 days, with licensed medical staff on site around the clock. Withdrawal from alcohol, opioids, and fentanyl can be physically dangerous, so we provide continuous monitoring and medication-assisted treatment to keep you safe and as comfortable as possible.
Detox is the stabilizing first step, not the whole journey. The moment you are medically ready, we transition you into residential or outpatient care so the hardest days lead directly into lasting recovery.

Residential Treatment
Our residential program runs 30 to 90 days in a structured, around-the-clock environment built for young adults. Days are organized around creative expression and peer connection, with clinical therapy, family sessions, and time for movement woven throughout.
Patients live on site with access to the fitness center, yoga studio, community garden, and lakefront walking trails, while clinicians deliver individualized, dignity-first care.
Daily Schedule
Our days put creative expression at the center — for many young adults, art and music reach what talk therapy alone cannot.

Outpatient Program
Milwaukee Rehab offers two outpatient levels: a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) of 2 to 4 weeks and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) of 8 to 12 weeks. Both let young adults keep working or studying and stay near family while receiving real clinical structure.
Outpatient care works as a step down from residential treatment or as a starting point for those whose lives and support systems allow recovery while living at home in Milwaukee.

Dual Diagnosis
Dual diagnosis means treating addiction and a co-occurring psychiatric condition — such as depression, anxiety, or PTSD — at the same time, by the same team. Among young adults especially, an undiagnosed condition is often the real engine behind substance use, and treating only the addiction leaves that engine running.
Our psychiatrists and therapists integrate medication management, EMDR, and trauma-informed therapy into one coordinated plan, so the whole person is treated rather than a set of disconnected symptoms.
